Dr. Russet McMillan is an astronomer managing the 3.5m ARC telescope at Apache Point Observatory. For the last fourteen years, she has also operated the APOLLO program (Apache Point Observatory Lunar Laser-ranging Operation), which bounces laser light from reflectors on the Moon. She will discuss how the work of the Apollo scientists and astronauts half a century ago has continued to enable scientific discoveries from the surface of the Earth to the present day.
