Did you know Castle Rock is home to a wide variety of wildlife, such
as bears, mountain lions, porcupines, skunks and turkeys? Get the
chance to learn about local wildlife at this popular annual public
education program. Natural resource staff and law enforcement
representatives from the Town of Castle Rock, Douglas County Open
Space and the Colorado Parks and Wildlife will provide interesting
wildlife facts and answer questions about coyotes, bears, deer,
mountain lions, bobcats, rattlesnakes, prairie dogs, beavers, turkeys
and other native wildlife. Tips will include how to avoid human-wildlife
conflicts and how to watch wildlife in a responsible manner. Real
wildlife displays will be on-hand to see and touch! Free and open to
all ages. No registration required.
