Event Time: 06:30 PM – 07:30 PM
Location:

Description:
See Colorado’s past through a pint! Each week, Sam will suggest a few beer pairings that mimic or represent what people were drinking in the times we’re talking about. We’ll read snippets of works by historians and look at primary source documents. Themes will revolve around migration, race & ethnicity, social movements, and economic change.
The four time periods will be Beer on the Mining Frontier (1859 – 1893), Colorado’s industrial era and Prohibition (1893 – 1945), the rise of Coors (1945 – 1979), and the craft beer boom (1979 – now).
