The Grajeda-Huckaby Low Barrier Housing Fund will support individuals in need of immediate housing assistance in a time of need associated with crisis intervention, substance abuse issues and rehabilitation mental health.
There are many organizations and individuals doing great work around housing people in Southern New Mexico, but there is a lack of funds that serve immediate needs and are low barrier. Likewise, there is a lack of sober living facilities in Southern New Mexico that allow people to be on medication assisted treatment (buprenorphine, Suboxone, or methadone).
