Description:
The Colorado Bluebird Project in Castle Rock operates under the POST Partners Volunteer Program with guidance from Denver Audubon. The project improves the vitality of native bluebird populations and educates the public about bluebirds. Since 2007, the program has consistently expanded and now includes 190 nest boxes at 32 different sites throughout Castle Rock.

The Colorado Bluebird Project needs volunteers for weekly monitoring of breeding activity in nest boxes beginning April 1 through mid-August. This program is suitable for families and individuals of all ages looking for a rewarding, fun and educational way to interact with local wildlife in their own backyard.

Attend the Monitor Training to learn how you can be a vital part of this program’s success. Please note: Monitor Training is required for all new volunteers.
